Therapeutic process

A sustained path — not an event.

Medium-term therapeutic processes, with a clear clinical frame and a respected pace. For women ready to look at themselves slowly and allow change to occur from within.

What it is

What a process truly is.

A therapeutic process isn't a series of loose sessions to resolve an urgency. It's a sustained path — with a beginning, middle, and ending — where every stage has its own clinical task.

What distinguishes a process from a one-off intervention is continuity: the same professional who knows your story, the same frame that holds over time, the same space that becomes trustworthy as you move forward.

Not every reason requires a long process. Some sessions are more focal and close within a few meetings. But when what's at stake is identity, early wounds, or deep relational patterns, clinical time is part of the care — not a luxury.

Real change happens when something inside you settles quietly while we keep talking.

The phases of the process

How the path moves.

Each process is unique, but most move through recognizable phases. They aren't rigid stages; they are territories you cross at your own pace.

  1. 01

    First session

A brief first encounter to hear what brings you here, build the frame, and decide together whether this is the right place for your process.

  2. 02

    Clinical reading

The first sessions have a specific task: recognizing the story, identifying the patterns that repeat, understanding the vital moment you arrive in.

  3. 03

    Deep work

The heart of the process. Here we hold the difficult conversations, work with the wounds, and dismantle the beliefs that no longer sustain life.

  4. 04

    Integration

What's been looked at begins to settle into the everyday. Different ways of relating, deciding, and inhabiting body and life are rehearsed.

  5. 05

    Careful closure

The closure of a therapeutic process is as clinical as its beginning. It's anticipated, named, and held — never interrupted abruptly.

Clinical principles

What holds the process.

Three principles that orient every process, regardless of how short or long it ends up being.

✦

Continuity

The same professional, the same frame, the same space. What's built in session requires continuity to hold.

✦

Confidentiality

What's spoken in session is clinical. It's protected by professional ethics and by a clear frame from the first encounter.

✦

A respected pace

The process moves at your speed. The material isn't rushed, the conclusion isn't forced, and nothing is interpreted before it's ready to be interpreted.

Practical frame

What you need to know before beginning.

Individual sessions last one hour. The frequency is usually weekly or biweekly in the early stages and can space out as the process settles. Every change in frequency is talked through with you, not decided in silence.

The modality can be in-person in Barranquilla or via video call. In both cases the clinical frame is the same, and the format is chosen based on what best supports your process, not on logistical convenience.

The total duration of a process isn't something promised in advance. It's an ongoing conversation. Some processes take a few months; others, several years. What holds steady is the clinical commitment, not a predetermined agenda.
