Couple and family

When the bond is asking to be heard.

Systemic clinical accompaniment for couples and families in moments of tension, transition, or pending conversation. A clinical third party who holds the space so the conversation becomes possible.

Starting point

There isn't a culprit; there's a pattern.

Systemic work rests on a simple clinical idea: when a bond hurts, it's almost never because someone is the problem. It's because the system — the dance between people, the implicit rules, the wounds each one carries — is asking to be seen.

The couple or family space isn't a courtroom. No one comes to be right. They come, together, to understand the pattern that's hurting them and to decide, with clinical information, what to do with it.

The frame is clear and respectful: every voice is heard; no one is the identified patient; and what's said in session isn't used afterwards as a weapon.

When two people fight about the same thing for years, they're almost never fighting about what it looks like.

When it makes sense

Moments when the system asks for help.

You don't have to wait for terminal crisis to consult. It's almost always easier to hold a clinical conversation before the conflict hardens.

✦

Couples in sustained tension

Conversations that repeat without moving forward, emotional distance, moments of deep doubt about the bond.

✦

Family transitions

Arrival of children, departure of children, retirement, relocations, family grief — moments that reorganize the system.

✦

Parents and adolescent children

Difficult conversations that need a clinical third party so both voices can be heard.

✦

Blended families

New bonds, children from previous relationships, rules being renegotiated — fertile ground that needs guidance.

How we work

Frame and method, systemic.

Couple or family sessions last between 60 and 90 minutes depending on format and are scheduled with everyone involved. The modality can be in-person or online; what matters is that all voices can be present with the same quality.

The first encounter is usually joint: we listen to what brings each part here, build the frame, and agree on how to continue. In some cases individual sessions are interspersed with joint ones — always with a transparent frame.

The goal isn't to hold the bond together at all costs. It's that each person has the clinical and emotional information needed to decide, with awareness, what they want to do.

My role isn't to take sides. It's to hold the space so each voice can say what it needs to say.
